Tall Hat Man Rises Again

I have started to practice on actionscript and I have made my little character take his first steps. It’s not much but it’s something and helps me advance in actionscript. There are a few things wrong with it and it needs a lot of work, its certainty not user friendly. However I did do another program after that, this is a different setup where you press buttons to make Tall Hat Move do his different moves, again not a true user friendly game in any sense, but it is useful for displaying what it would look like in the game and give me a different angle to check my work and improve on any design problems.

Barton Fink

I watched Barton Fink the other day for the first time, it was part of this Coen Brothers Collection DVDs I bought after reading about it in Empire Magazine. I loved how the film kept the viewer interested throughout the slow pace of the first big chink of the film. John Goodman does an exellent job as Charlie, whos is by far my faveourite character in this film. Particularly I enjoyed the awesome scene with Charlie running down the corridor firing shells at two detectives in a blaze of flame, I like to call it the Shotgun Shit-storm. He is one of those actors who acts with their face in remarkable ways, being able to communicate a complicated mix of emotions through such small effort. It seems as though the movie upto this point is several ingrediants which finally become something as the film slowly comes to its conclusions.
